Jack - thank you for delivering what you do the way you do. I am an entirely non-technical person who has worked in tech since 1988 (in PR). I came to the Valley in Jan 95 and ran the OG Java PR team. Now I am reminded daily of 1995 and 96 when we didn't know we were living inside of this Michel Foucault quote: 'People know what they do; frequently they know why they do what they do; but what they don't know is what what they do does.' The thing is, back then tech was not the epicenter of everything and there wasn't as much compute power. We had time to discover. Now, we're equally helpless to predict and measure and control what we have created (and what's creating itself). And things are moving so so much faster. I am grateful to read your work and also 100% aware that 6, 12, 18 months from now we will realize we understood almost nothing. Still, I am grateful to have your work to help me (and all of us) see. So thank you!!
